Cognitive Biases

Cognitive biases are systematic patterns of deviation from norm or rationality in judgment, often stemming from the brain’s attempt to simplify information processing. These biases can lead to perceptual distortion, inaccurate judgment, illogical interpretation, or what is broadly called irrationality. They are a result of the brain’s need to process information quickly and efficiently, but they can sometimes lead to errors in judgment and decision-making.
